Evil Victorious

"reminded me of both sides"

i do love how you kept the fantasy up in the song, could just as easily be ab out the hero tragically dying and taking the villian out with him

Zenad-Preparing For Combat

"its alright"

date: June 2, 2008

just hard to picture it without a picture or some more story to go behind it, neat tunes though.

[CE]-[Sands of Claire]

"not bad but too repetitive"

date: March 20, 2008

the song has potential and you've got some good melody sections, i think you just need a little less volume on the strings and maybe another instrument and not make it so repetitive and you have something rather decent. I've noticed the only way people are ever able to get away with repetitive is if they do mindless techno for the mindless masses, or if vocals are involved. any other time too much repetition can get boring fast. I would definitely call this a good song, just not a finished one.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind review. I suppose that the repitition comes from my trance days. See, I don't like techno because of its repetitiveness.

String Trio no. 1

"chopin meets sibelius XD"

submission: String Trio no. 1
date: March 12, 2008

I loved the start and stop melody, it made it all float along so brilliantly and made it tell more of a story.

Author's Response:

: D Thanks, that was (kind of) my intention lol. Awesome, glad you liked it.

Eye of the Tempest

"a little repetitive in some parts"

submission: Eye of the Tempest
date: March 12, 2008

but you kept adding new little bits here and there really making you listen to the melody, you kept a good rythm

March 21, 2008

Author's Response:

Perhaps I should have increased the tempo on the second key change, but it's too late now.

Thanks for taking a listen, and good luck in your future.

Pain and Desire

"meh"

submission: Pain and Desire
date: March 6, 2008

please understand, i hate listening to melodies where it feels like the person is relying too much on the sound of the instrument instead of the note progression of the melody itself, which is why i don't like most techno, or dj's for that matter, I like to be able to hear the focus on the note progression, i didn't really hear that until halfway through, then it was pretty good, I would have given a lower rating, but i like to base rating on skill and heart put into the music rather than my own personal taste if i feel the artist has put a lot of heart into their piece. I figure, different sounds are always going to be there, so i migt as well be fair/ good job man

Hells Requim

"kill the crystals"

submission: Hells Requim
date: March 6, 2008

the intstruments that sounded like crystals at 0:32 killed it for me, i'd rather hear some piano or really deep low organ there, would REALLLY up the creep factor in my opnion. the chainsaw part reminds me of beavis screaming Xd

Author's Response:

[CE]-[Breaking Away]

"i noticed a problem"

date: March 6, 2008

when i first started writing my own instrumental music i had a hard time putting excitement into it. to me your music lacks excitement but i can tell you just started with classical type instrumental, and for this to be your start it's rpetty damn good. just keep playing and creating, you will notice your songs getting better and better, just keep putting your heart into it and trying new things with your sound i think the reason you sound good for classical right now is because you did techno before. I did my homework and checked all your songs XD just keep at it, i look forward to hearing what else you come up with
